A sterling silver Spiral pendant made to commission with 18kt gold detail and Black Onyx beads, hanging from a silver chain.

This is a pale green Amethyst that was supplied by the client who asked me to design a ring for it. The stone is 'pineapple' cut which refers to the faceting on the top, and was a good size at just over 1cm diameter. It has been set in to a sterling silver ring which I forged around the rub-over setting. It is now a permanent fixture on the wedding finger of my client in Amsterdam.

Emma has created a site offering helpful tips for people organising their weddings, while also taking people through her own experience. It is a beautiful blog with all sorts of information that could give you ideas for your own big day.

The latest wedding rings. These are planished silver rings, which refers to the hammered texture. It's a nice alternative to the smooth finish that I often use in my work.

Really Chunky Bangles!

I have had some great bangle commissions and been having a lot of fun hammering some really chunky bits of metal! Here we have a Spiral bangle with 18kt gold detail. This used a strip of 6mm thick silver which I hammered and forged in to shape, then soldering on the gold decoration.
Below that is a man's bangle made from a 2cm width of Silver, 4mm thick. Inside is some engraved script requested by the client.

It has been a busy spring and I have some new pieces that I will be putting up on the blog. This is a Silver pendant with 18kt Gold detail and Aquamarine faceted beads, made to commission.

Black Onyx and Oxidised Silver Bangle and Necklace. Oxidising is a chemical process that blackens silver. It creates a strong line and is really striking with the matt black beads.

This is a Sterling Silver bangle with 18kt rose Gold detail and a blue Sapphire. The stone can be changed, as can the metal used for the detail. They sit well on their own or also look nice with a few on your wrist!

This is a new necklace design I have been working on. This particular one is Sterling silver with Garnets, and it was donated to an Auction in aid of Haiti. I am told it has gone to a very good home and raised a good amount for the cause. I am working on some other pieces to make up a collection and am doing versions in Oxidised silver and Black Onyx which make a great impact as it is all black. Images will follow soon...

This is a single earring that was commissioned for a wedding. The client wanted some engraving done on the front of the heart so I sent it to my engraver who is one of the best in London. He often engraves on the inside of rings for me and has a wide range of styles so it means I can get pretty much anything engraved.

Introducing the Bubble Necklace...

A silver necklace to match the Bubble Earrings, this one has a Black Onyx bead on it, but I can replace this with any other stone. The 'Bubble' is approx 2cm in diameter and the chain is 18" long

The top image is a silver bangle that a friend of mine wears every day! It is Sterling silver with an 18karat gold hoop that moves along the diagonal line. The piece immediately above is a silver pendant with an Aquamarine that was commissioned for a Christening present. The stone was the birth stone of the new arrival and the idea is that this can be worn once she is older and a chain bought for a future birthday. A nice alternative to the tiny bracelets that many of us have sitting in our jewellery boxes!
